Midday Summer

This painting has been a journey to play and discover how to represent Costa Rica’s weather in watercolours. A normal day in the province I’m from, Heredia, can be foggy, sunny and rainy all at the same time. This climate allows bromeliads to have the most beautiful colours, so much that most people mistake these plants for flowers.
