This weekend I got to have fun live painting during the Vancouver Mural Fest Party, on a sandwich board! This was my first time going for acrylics in a very very long time, well about a decade to be honest.
The experience was definitely a challenge, the paint dries so much faster than watercolours. Also, it got rained on halfway through the day, exactly when I thought I had figured out how to get smooth bleeding down, the rain washed away everything and I had to start over. Then, my sandwich board partner and I moved to the curb and continue painting under a roof.
About this time we began having fun and lots of people were standing behind us following the progress, and wanting to talk all about painting, art and community.
